Alfred University alumni, faculty guide development of new glass journal

Dr. L. David Pye, an Alfred University alumnus, emeritus dean of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and emeritus professor of glass science, has been named founding editor of the International Journal of Applied Glass Science that will debut in March 2010.
Alfred University appoints Edwards dean of School of Engineering

Dr. Doreen Edwards, who has been associate dean of the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University, will become dean of the School effective July 1, 2009. She is the first woman to be appointed to the position.
AU junior awarded mechanical engineering scholarship

Max Berg Feeman, a junior mechanical engineering major at Alfred University, received the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) International, Olean Section 2009 Scholarship this spring. The presentation was made at the AU and Alfred State College Engineering Project presentation contest.
