   48 Hour Challenge
The Game

Each team must consist of five members who are currently freshmen, sophomores or juniors in high school, plus an advisor. Only one team may enter from each high school. There will be a maximum of 20 teams in the 2007 competition.

(Returning teams, please note that you only need one advisor. Also please be aware that we are only allowing two changes in your team roster between when you register and the actual competion.)

Teams must be available to come to the Alfred University campus for the competition, June 25-27. You'll have just 48 hours, from 1 pm on June 25 to 1 pm June 27, to solve the "problem". Winners will be announced at the awards luncheon on the afternoon of June 27. We'll cover the cost of room and board for team members and advisors, but the cost of transportation will be the responsibility of the team and/or the sponsoring school district. If your school district is going to pick up the cost of transportation, make sure you get your request in to your high school principal early.

From now until June 2007, there will be clues posted on the website. When teams register, they will be assigned a user name and password that will give members access to the clues page. Some of the clues will be valuable and others won't, but teams won't know which is which until they start work on the problem.
