School of Engineering opened its doors to business
in July 2003, after over a century of engineering
education at Alfred University and was named in
honor of Dr. Kazuo Inamori, the founder and chairman
emeritus of Kyocera Corporation on October 21,
2005, recognizing the generosity of Dr. Inamori
and the Kyocera Corporation in the support of our
engineering programs.
The SoE brings together all AU engineering degree programs - biomedical materials engineering science, ceramic engineering, electrical engineering, glass engineering science, materials science and engineering, and mechanical engineering. The SoE eNewsletter is updated several times a year with articles on students and their achievements, our faculty, our academic program and our alumni. Our eNewsletter is designed with you in mind - our students, parents, alumni and friends! Send your comments and story suggestions to our editor at SOE eNews; your input is always welcome! |
