The Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the University and provides leadership for its colleges, schools, libraries, programs, and academic support services. With a commitment to shared governance, faculty development, and strategic planning, the provost works collaboratively with the campus community to address the challenges and opportunities facing contemporary higher education, honoring the university’s commitment to provide an excellent education for students that will “prepare them for a life of achievement and leadership.”

Dr. Suzanne Buckley began her service to Alfred University July 1, 2006. Prior to her appointment she held a similar position at Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, NH, and has had extensive administrative experience in both private and public higher education.
