Passport to a Rewarding Career
A minor in Electrical Engineering is an ideal choice for students majoring in physics, math, or any of Alfred University's engineering programs.

Electrical Engineering is one of the most diverse engineering fields, covering everything from microelectronics to power generation. Electrical Engineers design and test analog electronics, digital electronics, optoelectronics, signal processors, telecommunication systems, control systems, robotics, and computers. This broad field provides a wealth of employment opportunities and is relatively immune to economic fluctuations.

Hands-on Experience
Small class sizes and individual attention from a dedicated faculty in both classroom and laboratory provide students with an ideal setting in which to hone their computing and problem-solving skills. Research in the School of Engineering is conducted with state-of-the-art equipment housed in over 40,000 square feet of laboratory space. We pride ourselves on not only offering the best facilities in the field, but also in the incredible access that our students have to them.

Our Graduates
Alfred University students are employed by notable companies and organizations as engineers, researchers, and technologists and many of our graduates attend prestigious graduate schools. No matter what they may choose to do after graduation, students who have experience in Alfred University's engineering programs are well-rounded individuals who understand both the principles and practice of their selected field of study.
